Christmas festivities
On Friday 1 December, Year 6 pupils visited the Sixth Form Centre for a Christmas party hosted by the Sixth Form prefects. The Junior School pupils dressed up in festive wear and the Sixth Form prefects organised a variety of Christmas themed activities including biscuit decorating and a competition to create the longest paper chain. There was a delicious Christmas buffet too and the girls enjoyed a visit from Father Christmas!
Next it was the turn of the Circle of Friends to deliver festive spirit to all. They hosted their annual Christmas Fair last week, filling out the hall with festive stalls. The Junior School pupils arrived first followed by Senior School and Sixth Form students and parents later in the afternoon. There were beautiful gifts for sale including Christmas novelties and gifts for pets, clothes and hand-made jewellery. The tombola was a popular attraction, with students and parents winning some fantastic trinkets, and the ever-popular chocolate fountain was also a success. Some of the girls enjoyed drawing the raffle at the end of the afternoon, followed by Headmistress, Ms Charlotte Avery, announcing the prize-winners, which included many staff recipients. Alice Thomson’s prints of the school were also available to purchase at the Christmas Fair, but if you weren’t able to purchase one on the day please contact Emma Whittley in the Development Office if you wish to do so.
