Chamber Music Concert

Chamber Music Concert

The annual Chamber Music Concert was held on Tuesday 26 January in the beautiful setting of the Emmanuel United Reformed Church. The concert featured performances from our smaller ensembles, including Allegro, string quartet, Tutti Flutti, Tutti Flutti Too and Reed All About It. Also featured were a newly-formed piano trio – Appassionata – which is comprised of cellist Ruolan Y., violinist Morgaine O. and our Young Musician of the Year, Cherry C.; all of whom are studying Music at AS Level this year.

Winner of the Intermediate Class shield in our Young Pianist of the Year competition, Yuina I., reprised her winning performance of a Sonata by Beethoven, much to the delight of the 70-strong audience.

An enjoyable evening was had by all who attended. Many thanks to the Music department for coaching the ensembles, preparing them so well for the showcase and for organising an evening of first-class performances. Well done to all the girls who took part.
