Carol singing at the Junior School
On Friday 8 December the Junior School community gathered at OLEM Church for the annual Christmas carol service. This year’s event was a magical production once again, featuring performances from the choirs as well as instrumental ensembles. Well done to all of the girls for their hard work and dedication to practising and performing such a wide range of Christmas repertoire and for making the Christmas season so special for everyone. Thank you to Miss Elise Hickey for preparing the girls, and conducting, and to her team of supportive staff and peripatetic teachers.
As well as this, the members of the Year 5 and Year 6 chamber choir took part in the Rotary Christmas Carol Concert on Monday 11 December. The event is hosted by the Cambridge Rotary Club at Great St Mary’s Church and the girls performed three pieces, representing the school beautifully by singing with joy and musicality. The girls enjoyed singing for different members of the community, and raising money for two important charities: the Arthur Rank Hospice and the Cambridge Churches Homeless Project.
