Cambridgeshire County Cross Country

On Sunday 14 January six of our students attended the County Schools Cross Country Competition at King’s Ely. Each girl earnt her place in the County Schools competition through qualification from the District Competition in December. The conditions were favourable this year and there were approximately 60 girls running in each category, from the four Cambridgeshire districts. Notable performances came from: Millie R. (Year 9), running in the Junior Girls section, where she finished in second place; Matilda T. (Year 10), running in the Intermediate Girls, finishing in third place and Lucy C. (Year 11) finishing 15th in the same category; and Games Captain, Annie Q. (Upper Sixth) finished fifth in the Senior Girls race. Millie, Matilda, Lucy and Annie, alongside Beth W. (Year 11), have all been selected to run for Cambridgeshire Schools at the Anglian Schools Cross Country Competition in Ipswich on Saturday 3 February. All the girls who attended should be extremely proud of their performances – well done!
