CAFOD World Gifts
At the end of last term the Junior School held its annual Enterprise Fair – this time with a Christmas theme (read more in the Junior School Christmas blog). With £431 raised from the sale of the girls’ enterprising creations, the school council selected a range of items from the CAFOD World Gifts catalogue to purchase, including:
- 3 queen bees to boost honey production
- 2 ‘squirming worms’ which make fantastic compost that boosts crops
- 2 goats, which provide 12 pints of milk a week as well as fertiliser to help crops grow
- 2 ‘fabulous football’ packs which include training, kits and footballs
- 3 ‘help a farmer’ training packs
- 3 school starter packs which include uniform, stationery and a school bag
- 2 community toilets for remote rural villages, which help to keep families and communities safe and well.
Well done to the girls on their successful creations and marketing, for buying items at the fair to support the charity, and for their considerate selections of items from the gift catalogue.
