Budding chefs start Leiths course
We welcomed Andrea Wallace from Leiths Academy London to introduce the new Year 12 class to the Leiths Introductory Course in Food and Wine. Andrea trained at Leiths School of Food and Wine and is now an Academy visiting teacher. She showed the students different knife skills, how to use simple ingredients to make tasty salads, encouraged them to consider the stages of seasoning and demonstrated how to make an emulsion with a well made and delicious home made mayonnaise.
