Boarders go on trip to Manchester
Last weekend, some of the Sixth Form girls from Mary Ward House went on an exciting trip to Manchester to attend the University’s Open Day.
There they had the opportunity to talk to and listen to a variety of academics who enthusiastically explained to them what studying in Manchester would be like and what their options would be as graduates.
After that busy morning, they enjoyed dinner in the Curry Mile (a touristic hotspot in Manchester) and soaked up the city’s buzzing atmosphere.
On Sunday, they explored the city centre and visited a few shops for a spot of (very early!) Christmas shopping, before rushing to catch the train back after an inspiring weekend that gave them the opportunity to enjoy a new city and think about their futures.
