Boarders enjoy their Peterhouse College Christmas Dinner
The Boarders and Boarding staff enjoyed their annual, formal Christmas Dinner at Peterhouse, Cambridge University on Saturday 3 December.
The evening began with (non-alcoholic) drinks and photos in the Combination Room, with a roaring fire, followed by a sumptuous three course meal in the panelled, candle-lit dining room. The menu consisted of a whipped goat’s cheese entree followed by Beef Wellington or Carrot Wellington and a triple chocolate dessert. The boarders sat in their Year groups with Boarding staff at the head of each long and elegantly dressed table.
Following the dinner, the boarders enjoyed a disco in the Senior School. A special thank you must go to the Boarding Prefects who organized the Hall decorations as well as the music for the disco.
A long-standing tradition, which is a much anticipated occasion in the boarders' calendars, Christmas Dinner, Peterhouse style, is already booked in the diary for this time next year.
