Arts Award
On Tuesday 26 April 18 Year 9 students, who are taking part in the school’s bronze Arts Award scheme, enjoyed the first of a series of three jewellery-making workshops, led by local jeweller Sally Bowden, owner of The Beaderie on Magdalene Street, Cambridge. The award, which the girls began working on in September, involves them undertaking a range of individual creative projects, from dress-making to animation. Each student is required to provide a portfolio which will be assessed and moderated prior to certification. As well as working on individual projects, the girls have experienced some wonderful, creative enrichment activities; including a trip to the West End to see the musical Cats. We would like to wish the girls the best of luck with adding the finishing touches to their portfolios, and in their upcoming assessments.
