Around the world in 80 minutes

Our annual boarders’ concert took place on Thursday 10 March and was, once again, a joy for all who attended. The boarders wowed the audience with an evening of vibrancy and beauty, hosting a myriad of performances showcasing the wide cultural background of our boarding community. This year the theme of the concert was ‘Around the world in 80 minutes’ (rather than 80 days), and featured dances from different African countries – Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya – and Thailand, traditional Chinese songs and a Japanese-inspired fashion show. As well as using different cultures as inspiration for the concert, many boarders also performed pieces of classical music.

The concert also gives our Boarding Prefects the chance to develop management experience as they take the lead in organising the rehearsals and take on the role of producer for the event. Thank you to all the students who took part in the implementation of such a brilliant culturally vibrant concert.
