Annie is U20 400m County Champion

Annie Q., Lower Sixth student and 2017/2018 Games Captain, has had a season full of personal bests. In January she competed in her first U20 race, having moved up from U17 this year, in which she finished in 4th place in the 400m at the Southern Indoor U20 Senior Championships. In April Annie ran the 400m again at the Sweatshop Southern Athletics League: Division 2 East - Round 1 - Cambridge – finishing in 1st place, which set her up for the English Schools County Championships in May. Annie ran the 200m, finishing 2nd, and the 400m, finishing in 1st place, awarding her the accolade of U20 400m County Champion. Annie competed in the South of England championships earlier this month and finished third in the 800m race. Annie currently has her sights set on the English Schools National Championships in July and hopes to improve her 800m personal best by one second in order to qualify; Annie has been the 800m County Champion for four years running in her age group.
