An update on the new Mary Ward school in Zimbabwe

In the whole school assembly held in September of last year, it was announced that the school would be supporting the Congregation of Jesus (CJ) sisters in their pursuit of making a dream come true for the children of Mbizo, Kwekwe. Since the assembly, we have received confirmation that the empty field in Mbizo now has a promising future as permission has been granted to build a second Mary Ward school there. We are delighted to be part of a wider community that will be fundraising for this fantastic school, which will provide secondary school students with the space needed to learn and with facilities tailored to their age group. We have already raised funds from our annual Fun Run that took place last term, and have promising ideas on the horizon from inspired students who have thought of ways to support the process. We look forward to seeing what the next few years hold for the new school in Zimbabwe.
