Alumna talks architecture
On Monday 20 June alumna, Miranda Rigby, visited school to talk to Academic Scholars about her path to a career in architecture. Miranda showcased various designs that she had worked on both as a student and in industry, as well as talking about how her artistic input is balanced by the need to understand materials and structures. Miranda also facilitated a debate with the scholars about co-housing (an intentional community of private homes clustered around shared space), the choices that residents would have in such developments and the differing feelings that individuals may have about this concept. Thanks to Miranda for taking the time to come in and, hopefully, inspiring the future architects of tomorrow!
