Alison Gundy's new book
We welcomed Dr Alison Gundy to join the school at the start of the new academic year as teacher of History and Government and Politics. As well as being an experienced A Level History teacher, examiner and historical researcher, Alison has recently become a published author, and not for the first time. Before becoming a teacher, Alison undertook research on the reign of Richard II, which is published under the title ‘Richard II and the Rebel Earl’ (CUP).
After working for several years as a teacher and examiner Alison was approached by Edexcel to write text books for the new A Level History course. Our students will be using the new book, Religion and state in early modern Europe, in some of their lessons on the Tudor period – to find out more about the book please click here.
Congratulations to Alison, and all the best with the next endeavour; writing a second book for Pearson on Tudor Rebellions, which is to be published next year.
