Textiles meets Music in creative design project
Lottie B-T, a Textile Design Scholar in Year 12 has completed a design brief from the Music Department in technicolour style!
Invited by Mrs Fisher, in the Music Department, to create an eye-catching tie dye garment with a specially designed logo, Lottie set to work.
Supported by Mrs Kakengi, Head of Textiles, Lottie learned the new technique from scratch and created a beautiful t-shirt. The 'Mad T-Shirtt' logo was then added by Lottie, using a heat press and striking gold vinyl to create the finished product.
'MAD T-SHIRTT' is a mnemonic that our Music department uses to help students remember the following musical elements:
Melody
Articulation
Dynamics
Texture
Structure
Harmony
Instruments
Rhythm
Tonality
Tempo
Lottie B-T is also studying A Level Music, so will be able to admire her handiwork whilst working in the Music Department!
