Sixth Form students present work at Cambridge Geographical Association

Sixth Form students present work at Cambridge Geographical Association

We are delighted to say that 2 groups of our Year 12 were selected to present work at the Cambridge Geographical Association meet on 21 June --  an online opportunity for Sixth Form geographers to go deeper into aspects of their course. They identified a title linked to their course and wrote a short abstract to be accepted for the evening itself. Both our groups were successful and were invited to create full presentations on their titles.

Gabriella R. and Sophie S. created a presentation on the impact of sea level change entitled “Afternoon Tea under the sea.” They did much of the work themselves with support from Mrs Hutchison. They have sent the presentations with voiceovers off and the organiser of the meet, said,

“Well done on your excellent presentation… you should be really proud. It remains my favourite title – an excellent choice of a project.”

The second group, comprising Olivia W., Martha F. and Holly M. chose to do a presentation on “Is cancer a postcode lottery?” and created a presentation with support from Mrs L-S and a little from Mrs N., and received the following feedback: “Your presentation looks fabulous… Congratulations again on your hard work; this is great!”

The talks can be streamed online here.
