Year 8 bookworms compete in National Reading Champions Quiz
A team of Year 8 students recently took part in the online East of England Regional Heat of the National Reading Champions Quiz. Our keen readers answered 8 rounds of 10 questions on various literature related themes and topics such as Heroes and Heroines, Authors, Pets and Brainteasers relating to authors and characters across all genres.
We are proud to report that the St Mary’s team came 6th out of 25 competing schools (some with two teams!). Our students had a fantastic time and are looking forward to next year's event which is likely to be in person.
