St Mary’s Year 8 student shines in gymnastics competition
A determined St Mary’s student wowed the judges at the county gymnastics competition on Saturday 10 September, achieving top places in all of her disciplines and qualifying as a reserve for the upcoming regional finals next month.
Year 8 pupil, Amelia R., demonstrated her all-round gymnastics skills with a range of outstanding performances. Her hard work and months of practice certainly paid off after she was crowned first place in the bars, second place in the vault and third place for her floor routine. Overall, she was judged in fourth place, with her team (Cambridge) coming in second place.
Congratulations Amelia on demonstrating such strength, determination and focus. We wish you all the best for your next competition.
