Imogen celebrates kayaking success!

Imogen H. recently took part in the Sobeka Flanders Cup, an International Canoe & Kayak Regatta in Zwevegem, Belgium on the 7 and 8 September. She had a great weekend - her winning K4 team also won gold and silver in the 200m and 2km. She took gold in the individual 2km but had to leave to catch the ferry back before the final of the individual 200m.

Imy has also attended a presentation ceremony held by the City Council on 18 September where she was awarded a Future Champion Grant from the Marshall of Cambridge Trust. 

It has been a successful summer for Imy, as at the British Canoeing National Sprint Championship Regatta, she came 6th in K1 500m in her age group (U14G) and took Silver with a crew in K4 U14G at the same distance. A few weeks earlier, she and a crew mate from Elmbridge took Bronze in K2 U14G at the National Canoe and Kayak Marathon Championships. Congratulations Imogen!
