High Performance Learning (HPL) re-accreditation

On the penultimate day of the summer term, an Assessor and an Adviser from High Performance Learning came to review our work as a World Class School over the past three years since our initial accreditation. They were impressed with what they saw including the maturity and thoughtful responses by students in years 7,8,9 and the Lower Sixth with whom they spoke. 

The lead assessor commented:

“It was a privilege and pleasure to visit St. Mary’s yesterday and witness the progress made over the past three years despite the challenges all schools have faced… What has become clear is the depth of internal capacity that is well placed to lead and develop the very best practice.  Equally, recent appointments are certainly bringing in exciting and innovative practitioners”

Recent appointments refer to the external appointments of Mrs Jo Christian, as our Head of Juniors, in September 2021 as well as that of Dr Paddy Wallace as our incoming Deputy Head (Academic) this year, and last year’s internal appointment of Mr Robin Griffiths as our Head of Sixth Form.
