Clothes swap success at St Mary's
Yesterday St Mary's held its very first clothes swapping event organised by our environmental action group. The event proved to be a huge success amongst the students.
Students were asked to donate unloved and unwanted clothes at collection points around the school. In return, students received tokens for their donated items that they could exchange for an item of clothing in return.
As a representitive of the environmental action group said of the event:
Please donate, as although it seems like a small action actually it's actions like these that make the biggest
difference in fighting fast fashion that is killing our planet.
With over 120 items of clothing donated and a steady flow of eager shoppers, the event was really positively received, and there are already plans to hold a second event later in the academic year.
