Alumnae reunite in Hong Kong

Alumnae reunite in Hong Kong

St Mary’s School’s network of alumnae continues to enrich students’ lives long after graduation. We were delighted to hear that our international alumnae’s reunions have been recommencing after the disruptions of the pandemic. Sabrina Chien, alumna and Junior Specialist at the auction house, Christie’s Hong Kong, hosted the Asian Pastonian Society at Soho House in Hong Kong this summer.

This was the group’s first in-person meeting since before Covid-19, with around twenty members joining. The members represented a range of professions, with lawyers and engineers in particularly high attendance. There was much news to share, from new engagements to business ventures, as one member recently launched her own fashion brand. Another alumna reported taking her next educational step, as she started her PhD in August.

Despite the break, Sabrina reports that she was struck by the strong sense of community, as the older girls were keen to get to support and encourage the youngest members. We are delighted to hear that our school’s community continues to be a source of friendship for its members in Asia. As Sabrina said,

‘St Mary’s Cambridge, a home away from home, will always carry a special place in my heart.’
