Zara D. says over 200 'thank yous' to the NHS
Junior School pupil Zara D. has been busy creating care parcels for NHS workers at the Royal London Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital and Fulbourn Hospital in Cambridge.
Working with the support of her mum, wider family and friends, Zara has organised the creation of over 200 care parcels which have been gifted to NHS staff working in three different hospitals, as a thank you for the vital role they are playing during the pandemic.
Each bag includes a homemade heart, crocheted, stitched or knitted with great care and love by the contributors. Zara has added a personal note to each bag, with messages such as 'You are amazing!' and 'You make the world a better place.' The bags also include treats such as moisturiser, herbal tea and facemasks - for some well-deserved pampering.
Matthew O'Reilly, Head of Juniors commented, "This is a really heart-warming example of how we can show our appreciation for NHS staff during this time. I am very proud to see Zara putting such effort and care into this project. Brilliant work!"
