Year 6 prefect team

In assembly on Monday morning Mr O'Reilly introduced the girls to the new Junior School prefect system. Using words like inspiration, motivation, leader, confident, creative, respect, team work, nurturing and helpful, the names of the new Year 6 prefects were announced, along with their Year 5 assistants. The prefects are assigned to different areas of school life: Charities, Eco, Fairtrade, Games, Playground, Library, Music, Religious Studies and Computer Science, and each has been selected by the staff team and will take on the role for the Autumn Term before handing over the responsibility to another pupil next term. Introducing roles which involve leadership and creativity will allow the girls to develop confidence and a sense of responsibility. Each area has a staff representative too, and the first task is to write a job description for the new roles. See pictures of our new prefect team here.
