Year 4 enjoy a day of STEM

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their STEM day when they were challenged to design and make a structure or object that would light up.

The girls had to use their Astrid linking skills to apply their knowledge of how to light a bulb in an electrical circuit, and to use a switch to turn it on and off. There was much drilling, taping, cutting and sticking to achieve their designs. The results were fantastic, including torches, lighthouses and lamps. These were all decorated imaginatively using their Maisie skills and we even ended up with some giraffe, panda and rabbit lights! Mrs Shercliffe and her glue gun are now having a well earned rest!!
