Year 2 make St Mary's scarecrows!

Year 2 had a wonderful surprise when we went down to help the school gardeners, Sarah and Philip, this morning when they found out that they would be making St. Mary's scarecrows.

There were whoops of delight as the girls stuffed the school uniforms full of straw and drew faces onto the old sack heads. We think that our three scarecrows will definitely frighten away any birds who might be tempted to peck our seeds and plants!
