Year 1 learn how to deal with disappointments

In Year 1 we have been discussing how to cope with disappointments. We have considered how resilience is important when things go wrong, and that the art of resilience is getting back up and continuing to try hard.  

Our spelling pattern this week is the 'ar' digraph.  We have thought about an 'artist' in a 'garden' to demonstrate this and have drawn some pictures as inspiration.  

We have also been learning about Simeon and Anna in the Temple when the Holy family presented Jesus. We have been imagining the conversation that would have taken place as Simeon recognised the Messiah!
