Junior School choir brings festive cheer to local residential homes
On Monday this week our Year 5 and 6 Chamber Choir brought festive cheer and song to two local retirement homes - Ditchburn Place on Mill Rd and Moorlands in Melbourn.
Mrs Dudley took the members of Year 5 and Year 6 Chamber Choir out for a day of carolling. The day was incredibly rewarding for the girls and they really enjoyed spending time with the elderly, singing for them and talking with them about the Christmas season. Both residential homes were very appreciative of our visit and the residents thoroughly enjoyed singing along to many well-known carols and listening to the girls perform some of our pieces from the Carol Service.
Thank you to Mil-Ken Travel, who kindly donated the coach that we travelled on throughout the day to us as a Christmas present when they found out what we were using it for.
