Aria raises over £2,000 for Cambridge children's hospital

Junior School pupil Aria M. undertook some amazing fundraising in August to raise money for the creation of a children's hospital in Cambridge.

After months of watching her two-year-old sister come and go to the hospital, 6.5-year-old Aria asked her mother how much money it would take to find a doctor to make her sister better. Aria’s mother explained that things didn’t work that way, but it was very sweet of her to think about helping her little sister out. Seeing how deeply Aria wanted to help her little sister, Stephannie suggested that they could fundraise for a charity which could help others, and so they decided to fundraise for the Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust, which is fundraising to build a children’s hospital in Cambridge. They decided to create a hefty challenge: to cycle 100 km in August, with the aim of raising £1000 in the process. With the goal set, Aria took to her bike and cycled every day.

By 15 August Aria had hit her 100 km goal, and raised over £1600 in the process for Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust. Aria then asked if she could change her goal to 200 km to up the challenge and to continue her fundraising efforts.

As of 31 August Aria had cycled more then 202km and raise over £2100 for Addenbrookes Charitable Trust. Amazing work Aria, well done!
