Students brave the weather during Charity Week at the Junior School
This week was Charity Week in the Junior School, with a range of events independently thought up by the students to support the charity Meseret for Women. We were delighted to welcome the charity founder, Rachel Duke in to school to launch their fundraising initiatives.
Meseret is the Ethiopian charity supporting vulnerable single mothers and their children. Their holistic approach to rehabilitation helps them overcome trauma, and empowers them to build themselves a better future, through skills training for employment.
So, it was with good intent and determination that two of our Year 5 girls roped in a younger sibling and defied the weather to sell their homemade cupcakes and bracelets.
We are incredibly proud of them for giving up their time and for being such responsible citizens. Huge thanks to Zoe and Antonia, and their families for all their hard work on behalf of Meseret.
