May - the month of expectation, the month of wishes, the month of hope and the Year 13's leavers ball!

On the evening of the much-anticipated Leavers' Ball, our Year 13s partied the night away in the hallowed halls of Westminster College. A drinks reception for parents, staff and students was followed by a formal dinner and then dancing - lots of dancing!

Our new Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Rebecca Landshoff, was delighted with the huge turnout from supportive parents and the students behaved impeccably, dancing super-enthusiastically until the very end!

She said:

"I love how they always look to include each other and celebrate each other's successes; they are really a very kind and generous of spirit year group."

In happy coincidence, while St Mary's celebrates its 125th year, Westminster College has also been a part of the educational scene in Cambridge for 125 years - the college moved here in 1899, thanks to the generous donation of a prime plot of land by two Scottish sisters. A befitting place to celebrate the successes and herald the futures of our Year 13 leavers!
