Heartfelt Thanks: St Mary's Donates a Hamper full of tasty snacks to Rosie Maternity Hospital

We recently had the privilege of extending a heartfelt gesture to The Rosie Hospital, an institution known for its unwavering dedication to maternity care in our region.

Under the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust umbrella, The Rosie stands tall within the medical fraternity. Its services, tailored to meet the unique needs of Cambridgeshire and beyond, focusing on specialised care and serve as a lifeline for the entire eastern region.

With recent expansions aimed at accommodating the increasing population, The Rosie’s enhanced birth centre has become one of the largest neonatal units in the UK.

Our Head Girl, Cecilia V-F., presented the handmade hamper to Lindsey F., a dedicated midwife from The Rosie Hospital. Bursting with an array of nourishing snacks, indulgent treats, and wellness essentials, the hamper was given as a token of appreciation for the tireless efforts of the hospital's staff on behalf of the school and its community.

In graciously accepting the hamper on behalf of her colleagues, Lindsey expressed the significance of such gestures among the hospital's dedicated workforce, who tirelessly strive to ensure that every birthing experience is met with compassion and exemplary care.

She said:

"The staff at the Rosie very much appreciate the kind donation of a hamper from St Mary’s  School to celebrate International Day of the Midwives. The staff at the Rosie Maternity Hospital work tirelessly to support the birthing people and their families in and around Cambridge to ensure they receive the best possible care during such an important event in their lives and were delighted to receive this donation. Thank you to Cecilia for presenting me with such a beautiful hamper, it will be very much appreciated if presented on Friday 10th May during International Day of the Midwives."
