Welcome to our 2020 virtual showcase, which celebrates the work of our academic scholars, alongside a variety of pieces from our design & enterprise, creative writing and art scholars.
Poetic voices
Our creative writing scholars enjoy writing poetry on issues and ideas that capture their imagination. We hope you find this year's emerging voices as compelling and inspiring as we do.

Drama: Büchner and Brecht
A brilliant animated history of the work of playwrights Büchner and Brecht by Drama Scholar, Isobel Brett (Year 13).
STEM superstars
From researching DNA and mask-making to building a mechanical car, our scholars enjoy exploring ideas independently, as well as turning their creative ideas into reality.
DNA research by Victoria B. Year 8
Design and Technology
Scholar, Medeea G. (Year 10) designed and built a mechanical car from scratch:
"I built this car from an old tool kit I received when I was younger, and it was a great way to relax, whilst doing something productive! It looks and works like a miniature lawn mower although it can go backwards too. I enjoyed making it and developing my STEM skills, as well as having fun!" Medeea G.
Enterprising ideas
Design and enterprise scholar, Leonie H. turned lockdown into an industrious time by designing and producing face masks and keyrings. Her goal is to set up and run an Etsy shop, selling her creations.
Lockdown creativity
Scholars embraced the time at home during lockdown to enjoy creative tasks.
