Summer Taster Workshop
We would love to host your daughter at St Mary's Senior School at our popular Summer Taster Workshop (For girls in Years 5 - 8)
Time: 8.45 am - 12.30 pm
Please choose your workshops in order of preference.
During the morning, your daughter will have the opportunity to take part in two of the three activities on offer:
- Chemistry - where your daughter will find out find out about the chemistry of colour! We will carry out experiments to investigate how chemists use colour in all sorts of ways - from fireworks to forensic investigation. And it's not just chemists that use colour, we will investigate some of the colours in nature, asking questions such as 'Are leaves really green?'.
- Games - where she can attend our University standard sports facilities to play Softball Cricket.
- Art - where she will learn a new skill, in a state-of-the-art No.47 Art facility.
Your daughter will use our outstanding facilities and be taught by our inspirational teachers. This will give your daughter a feel of what being a student at St Mary's School, Cambridge would be like.
Throughout the morning, your daughter will also have the opportunity to meet and work with with some of our current scholars in STEM, Sport and Art.
It is sure to be an excellent event.
