Holly finishes 9th in British U16 Girls’ Foil

Holly T., a Year 9 student, has been fencing since the age of nine and is a member of Cambridge Sword. Training four times each week and entering competitions at weekends, Holly was delighted to make it to the final round of the British Youth Championships at which she competed in the U16 Girls’ Foil category. Holly scored highly enough in qualifying that she was afforded a buy through to the second round, which she won 15/5 to progress to the penultimate round where she narrowly lost to her competitor by four points, yet she was ranked 9th in the British U16 Girls’ Foil - congratulations Holly!
